Description of accident and injuries suffered:

Hendrick De Hullu was with a group of five canoeists who launched into the highi-flowing river. De Hullu capsized within a minute and was swept downstream into rapids where he disappeared. His body was found the following day. At least one other paddler also capsized, Don Smith, 43, but was able to get to shore. The paddlers had pfd's, helmets and paddle jackets.
